Carefree Body Shape Panty Liner Pads Review

Today I received a FREE pack of Carefree Body Shape Panty Liner Pads and few .50 cent off coupons.

Review of my FREE pack of Carefree Body Shape Panty Liner Pads : I tried these Carefree Body Shape thin pads and I have to admit they pack a powerful absorbing punch! I did not have any heavy flow pads around when my time of the month came a little early. I then remembered I just received these samples a few days earlier. I rushed to them like an Olympic runner and quickly ripped the nice little pink baggie open. “How cute”, I thought. They were neatly individually packaged in pink and white plastic to keep them sterilized. I instantly loved that because usually thin pads come in a box with nothing else. Then when you want to take a few somewhere you have to put them in your wallet with your money…. how unsanitary is that!???

Back to my predicament. Whoa, they are extremely thin and I thought to myself these will never work! 45 minutes later I was home from a heavy flow pad shopping trip and was thinking I would be a hell of a mess. I checked my booty in the mirror to see if I embarrassed my self in public with an artistic blood spatter… No I was clear. Whew! Sorry for the too much info, but lets face it, periods are messy and disgusting to us women too! I pulled down my special granny panty period only underwear to expect I was going to have to bleach the crap out of them… but instead I actually SMILED at my cute little Carefree pad that worked like a magic sponge!!!! I was surprised that my unexpected heavy flow did not runneth over to my underwear. I love you Carefree Body Shape Panty Liner Pads!!!! You saved my day. I know that these WILL work on pididdly low flow days, no doubt in my mind.

Review of Crunchmaster Multi-Seed Crackers
I received these Crunchmaster Multi-Seed Crackers to share with my mom friends and family. I loved the fact that they are all natural, gluten free, wheat free, low in saturated fat, and cholesterol free. Eating these made me feel like I was doing my body good. I felt safe munching on more than one serving since they were all natural with a low calorie count. The calorie content of one serving, is 140. Eating these Crunchmaster Multi-Seed Crackers made me feel like I was choosing a healthy snack. I will feed these to my son with cheese on top and will feel that I am serving him a worry free nutritional snack. The taste of these to me was like a sesame seed flavor that was roasted. The  Multi-Seed Crackers were substantially crunchy! I expected that with a brand name like Crunchmaster. I enjoyed the taste. One mom said they were “ok”, and that they wouldn’t buy them, as they were too bland. Another mom shrugged her shoulders and said, “eh”. I told them there were different flavors available in the stores. There is Rosemary & Olive Oil, Roasted Garlic, and Toasted Onion. I personally liked the flavor of the regular cracker and will be getting other flavors to try out of curiosity.  There are a lot of different varieties Crunchmaster Crackers available!  Just look for yourself here! Wow!

Suave Naturals Body Lotion Review

Today I received a coupon from Unilever for a Free Suave Naturals Cucumber Melon Body Lotion

Review of my Free Suave Naturals Body Lotion:

I tried this right away on my arms and noticed it replenished my dry skin immediately. I tried it on my dry heels and it did not work so well. I have pretty dry heels so this lotion isn’t good for intense dryness. I like the fact that it says Naturals, but I do not think it’s a “natural” organic product. Anything with the word natural in the title should really BE natural. The bottle says long lasting fragrance . I put this on yesterday morning and it’s been a day and a half and the smell is gone. In fact, the smell was gone by afternoon, unless I was immune to my own smell. I don’t think the fragrance lasts as long as they claim though. This Suave lotion is good for everyday use but don’t use it on your very dry feet, it won’t work right of the bat. If you keep applying it twice a day to your heels, I would assume this would start to work on them. I liked the cucumber melon smell. It was a fresh smell, reminding me of summer.

Splenda Essentials Sweetener Review – Updated Review – I know longer believe this product should be consumed by any human or animal ever

Today I received a free sample from Splenda. They sent me 4 free packets of their new sweeteners that have added antioxidants in them. Also available is the sweetener with fiber or B vitamins. I chose the antioxidants for my free sample. Splenda also sent me two free coupons for $1 off any Splenda Essentials No calorie sweetener. I plan on using them ASAP!

Review of Splenda Essentials No calorie sweetener:
I made a nice sweet tea for myself and tried the Splenda with Antioxidants for the sweetener. I thought that the Splenda essentials tasted just like regular Splenda. I didn’t notice the extra added good for you ingredients. That is a good thing! I think I will use my coupon and get the Splenda essentials with the B vitamins for more energy! Maybe one of each packet, fiber, B vitamin, and antioxidant for a more healthy me! If you use Splenda already, these Splenda Essentials products are a no brainer!! Use them and get added benefits for yourself and your family!!!

UPDATE 4-25-2013
I no longer believe in this product.  I was so wrong about Splenda having “extra added good for you ingredients”.  I have since wised up and know better.  Splenda is just a brand name for Sucralose.

This information is from Dr. Mercola’s website:

The Web site www.TruthAboutSplenda.com lists a variety of consumer complaints from Splenda consumption, many of which mimic other health conditions. Some of the most commonly reported adverse effects include:

  • Gastrointestinal problems
  • Seizures, dizziness, and migraines
  • Blurred vision
  • Allergic reactions
  • Blood sugar increases and weight gain

But that’s not all. Now, an in-depth scientific review 12 of sucralose published in the The Journal of Toxicology and Environmental Health 3 reveals an extensive list of safety concerns, including toxicity, DNA damage, and heightened carcinogenic potential when used in cooking.

Free Febreze Set & Refresh Air Freshener & Review

Today I received a free Febreze Set & Refresh air freshener directly from P & G.  The fragrance was Sweet Citrus and Zest.

FREE Febreze Set & Refresh Air Freshener & Review

This scent is wonderful.  It made the whole front part of the house smell terrific.  The scent lasted quite long, about 3 weeks.  It did not smell as quite as strong as the first few days, but there was still a nice fragrance when you walked into the door.  If you were in the house for awhile, you couldn’t smell it much anymore.  If you were outside of the house for awhile and came back in, then you could smell it faintly.  It lasted about 3 weeks until we threw the cartridges away.  They claim it will last 30 days, but it fell a little short of that for us.

Edit: 3/25/14 This scent is no longer available but Set & Refresh units and other scents are still on the market.

Rocky Balboa Review – Yo Adrian, Sly Lands a Hit! Movie Review

[cjtoolbox name=’google2′ ] [/cjtoolbox]

Rocky Balboa manages to make a comeback, yet again.  He’s the perpetual underdog who warms your heart with his trademark sideways Philly drawl.  This feel good movie proves once and for all that Mr. Stallone is here to stay in Hollywood.

Balboa takes us back to the top of the stairs
[cjtoolbox name=’google2′ ] [/cjtoolbox]

You cannot deny the fact that Sly evokes the character of Rocky with great passion.  His acting skills seem methodically improvised with great ease.  I guess when you write and direct a movie, you do have that creative freedom.

When I first heard that there was going to be another installment in the Rocky empire, I thought it was going to be amiss.  To my surprise, this movie had substance, good acting, and heart.  “Rocky Balboa” (Rocky VI), brings back the action packed bouts that fans crave. The big fight between Rocky and Mason ‘The Line’ Dixon (Antonio Tarver) was filmed impressively with boxing fans in mind.

It was as authentic as you could get for a Hollywood flick.  The fight was filmed at Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.  Real boxing professionals starred as themselves, including: Lou DiBella, Mike Tyson, Woody Paige, and Charles Johnson.  Adrian’s brother, Paulie, played by Burt Young, is back and even more hilariously bitter.  Adrian, played by Talia Shire, has a few flashback scenes, as her character was killed off.  Why?  Sly needed to upgrade his acting skills from okay to creditable.  Did it work?  I think he would have been more creditable without the crying scene.

The crowd goes wild for Rocky after his big fight

Rocky owns and runs an Italian restaurant fittingly named, Adrian’s.  The most clever quote of the movie?

Rocky: Hey Paulie we are just about to serve the special.

Paulie: Italian food cooked by a bunch of Mexicans ain’t so special.

Well visiting Adrian’s is special, kind of.   Fans and guests of Rocky’s restaurant get to reminisce with the boxer about his old school victories while they eat their dinner.  It is here where he dreams of getting into the ring one more time, for the sport, not the win.

Lil Marie and Rocky form a great friendship
[cjtoolbox name=’google2′ ] [/cjtoolbox]

Throughout the movie, Rocky keeps Adrian’s spirit alive.  Rocky Jr. seems embarrassed by his has been father.  Paulie keeps on being his opinionated sidekick.  New to the Rocky saga is Lil Marie and Steps.  As it goes, Lil Marie was walked home by Rocky when she was a teeny bopper.

They conveniently ran into each other many years later and now that she’s all grown up, Balboa has befriended her.  Lil Marie, played by British actress, Geraldine Hughes, does a wonderful rendition of a Philadelphia accent.  I was happy she came into the picture because Rocky was a little over bearing on the whole missing Adrian theme.

Marie is a single mother with a son named Steps, which Rocky seems to bring along everywhere he goes.  Seems he’s trying to replace his distant son.  It’s not really clear why Rocky Jr. is so adamantly annoyed by his father, but they seem to work out the kinks by the end of the film.

Rocky lands a punch to Mason ‘The Line’ Dixon

Yes, Rocky fights again and yes he’s in his 50’s (in the movie).  How is this believable?  Oddly enough Rocky boxing, despite his brain damage from previous fights, was plausible.  Rockster was offered an exhibition fight from Dixon’s camp after a computer program by ESPN favored him over the current champ.

He went through the boxing commission which at first didn’t want to sanction the fight, but good ol’ Rocky laid them a guilt trip from the depths of all things cheesy, but it worked.  He was offered an exhibition fight and began training as if he was in his 30’s again.

Rocky reflects the good times with Adrian
[cjtoolbox name=’google2′ ] [/cjtoolbox]

The day finally comes when Rocky meets his opponent in the ring.  He’s buff…in exceptional shape for his age.  His passion to fight is boiling over.   By this time, you’re in your seat anxiously awaiting some boxing glove to face action.

Boy oh boy, do they deliver.  10 rounds, real blows, commentators, and even a cameo from the ear biter, Mike Tyson make this fight a pleasure to watch.  The fight has some blood, but just remember, it’s Hollywood.  If you’re a boxing fan, this will please you fist to fist.  If you’re not a boxing fan, there is a lot of character building to wet your drama seeking whistle.

Antonio Tarver debuts in his first motion picture.  His acting skills were competent, but his fighting skills were sensational.  I won’t say who won, but you will be pleasantly surprised by the outcome of this seat gripping fight.

Rocky, Rocky Jr., and Steps feel the excitement after “the fight”

For all of the die hard Rocky fans, wait for the credits to see a fanatical portion of regular folk doing the infamous Rocky air bag punching in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

I know some of you are wondering.  So I’ll go ahead and answer that nagging question in the back of your mind.  It’s a negative.  Rocky doesn’t say, “Yo Adrian” in the movie.  If you need to hear it one more time you’ll have to pop in Rocky I.   Just remember, It ain’t over ’til it’s over.
