100% Pure Green Coffee Bean Review

Today I received a bottle of Pure Green Coffee Bean for weight loss by Xium The Science of Thin, sold by Accelerated Intelligence Distribution to review for my opinion.  I didn’t know much about green coffee bean and it’s effects, so I broke out the old Google.  I learned that this brand, Xium, seems a lot more healthy than other brands.  The pill itself is clear, which to me seems a little odd considering the name of the bean, “Green Coffee Bean”.  Then I looked into it and realized Xium does not put fillers, colors, or binders in this product.

I researched green coffee bean and found out Chlorogenic acid (GCA) may also slow the release of glucose into the bloodstream after a meal. On the back on the bottle it says 50% GCA. So bottom line: It’s better for energy and keeping your blood glucose levels down. The energy should make you move – thus weight loss should happen if you are eating a sensible diet.

How Does It Work?

This product’s weight loss effects are not caused by caffeine. The key ingredient for weight loss in Green Coffee Bean Extract is called chlorogenic acid. Chlorogenic acids works by inhibiting the release of glucose into the body, while at the same time boosting your metabolism and burning fat in the liver. These two mechanisms work together to inhibit the absorption of fat and eliminate weight gain. Chlorogenic Acid, which is an especially strong antioxidant. Antioxidants act as sponges that stop and sop up free radicals within the body, preventing them from causing oxidative damage.

I was hesitant to try these because I get really jittery with too much caffeine. This product claims it will not make you jittery. I didn’t really feel jittery, but I did feel anxious. I felt awake and I liked that because I am always sleepy and tired no matter how much sleep that I do or don’t get. I always feel tired. The bottle does warn about taking it if you have a bad heart. A lot of people on the reviews say they didn’t lose weight. I too did not, but I do have hypothyroidism and it is difficult to lose weight when your thyroid is out of whack. I will say that if you have high blood pressure, then the green coffee bean pill could help you more then for weight loss itself.

Vegetarian Quick & Easy – Under 15 Minutes: (100 Simple Natural Foods Recipes) by Jonathan Vine – Review

Today I received a free ebook to review by Jonathan Vine titled, Vegetarian Quick & Easy – Under 15 Minutes: (100 Simple Natural Foods Recipes)

I read it all back to back right away and do appreciate the amount of work that went into this recipe book.

I did know a little about being a vegetarian since I have been one for a year and a half now.
When I first became a meatless eater, I was a vegan for 8 months. I then started craving eggs and cheese.  I gave in and decided to eat very little of each.  This book will work for those nights you just have no inspiration and need something quick and meatless.  I am a big fan of promoting the MEATLESS MONDAYS catch phrase.

Even if you are not a vegetarian, these recipes are great for ANYONE,(accept Vegans or lactose intolerant people).  There are many many recipes with dairy/cheese in them.  If you are either, you could use Daiya Cheese (Check how many products are free of CHEESE!) and Silk Almond Milk to replace the cow kind.  I’ve done it with many recipes, including a couple of these by Jonathan Vine.
Check out my review of his Vegetarian Weight Loss eBook here!

UPDATE JULY 8 2014:
I have been using some of these recipes for over a month now and I can tell you that they are delicious and awesome!  I really liked a few recipes and LOVED a lot of them.  They will be regular meals in my meatless repertoire.  Even
if you are not a vegetarian, these could be good “Meatless Monday” meals for you and your family to enjoy.

Vegetarians can have fast food too, just read this recipe book and you’ll have many quick meals to choose from!
The recipes that stand out for me and happen to love are:
ENDIVE BOATS
SPICY WHITE BEAN DIP
TWO LAYER HUMMUS
MEXICAN VEGETARIAN SUSHI
STICKY RICE BALLS
DATE & COCONUT BITES
ROASTED BELL PEPPER SOUP

Life & Food Yacon Syrup 100% Organic Non GMO Review

Today I received Life & Food Brand Yacon Syrup which is organic, raw, and NON GMO.  I tasted it right away. I decided to wait until the next day to make pancakes and add it to the syrup we already have.  The serving size is 1 teaspoon, up to three times a day.

I added about 1 tablespoon of the Yacon Syrup to 1 cup of regular maple syrup.  The taste is sweet on it’s own but I wanted to add the benefits of the yacon to my regular syrup.  There was a little aftertaste to the complete syrup mixture.  It was not bad but it was noticeable.

The next day, I had 1 teaspoon in my morning tea.  It was beautiful tasting in my hot tea.  I couldn’t tell it wasn’t sweetened with sugar.  I do add a little almond milk to my tea as well.

EDIT JULY 6th 2014:  I have used this for over a month for a few days each week.  The main reason for wanting to try yacon syrup was that it helps regulate your bowels better.  I have noticed a positive change in that department.  I won’t go into details but I have had IBS for about 7 years now and it seemed to help.

It is also great for your kidneys, has probiotics, and lowers blood sugar for diabetics.  The amazon page where this was purchased says it has antioxidants.  I googled a little and the top two antioxidants extracted from yacon root is chlorogenic acid and tryptophan.  It is also said that tryptophan helps depression.  Chlorogenic acid is what helps in the blood sugar area.

I think this is a super food.  It should be a staple in vegetarians or vegans for sure.  It definitely should be a part of anyone suffering from diabetes or bowel flare-ups.  It is really easy to use in your coffee or tea every day.  This is a good investment for your health.  I am thankful I found out about Life & Food Yacon Syrup.  I believe it will continually help me obtain optimal health.
